GS020 sees a return to instrument of the moment, the ukulele. This time in the frenzied hands of Jaaja and accompanied by banjo, accordion and a plethora of rather disturbing masks. With Halloween looming, this is perhaps more fitting than normal. Other Autumnal treats include Glasgow's Golden Grrls and Portland's Beats Antique. There is also, as promised, an interview and set from Geneva's Tony Snake at the Electrosanne festival. In addition to all of this there we have a report from Johannesburg about what's happening in hip hop there. Sake of Skill and Last Day's Fam among others discuss why they are making a stand against the bling and advertising culture associated with the scene, preferring an independent way of making music.
