We have searched further and wider than ever before and selected a bloomin' marvellous array of tracks for your lucky ears, even if we do say so ourselves.

First-time country plays this week include a lovely trumpety number from Italy, and a garage pop ditty from the Philippines. Luckily there are rather a lot more countries on the world map yet to be sullied by our touch, so more firsts next week again for sure!

As always we have asked each of the artists we play to tell us a little more about themselves and their music. Click on the artists name in the tracklisting to see these extras and listen out on the show for the ones that particularly tickle Tom's fancy.

In a non show related request, to settle something of a GS office argument, which children's book would you like to see our very own Tom Ravenscroft narrate? How about 'Flat Stanley' or  'The Gruffalo'... Suggestions on a postcard or email to the usual address.
